I am Rachel. I am the director and lead clinician at NAYA DAWN in Geelong. I am a Mental Health Social Worker, EMDR Therapist, Theraplay Practitioner, and Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher with a Bachelor of Social Work from Deakin University.
I have over 6 years experience in the industry in family support, group program delivery, out of home care, clinical services, and disability support.
In addition to my four-year degree I have undertaken extensive training and professional development. I now have specialised skills in understanding trauma, dissociation, and mental health difficulties using a range of evidence-based and focused psychological strategies.
At Naya Dawn we offer a suite of social work, clinical and body-based approaches to suit the needs of all individuals. Our primary modalities are Theraplay, EMDR Therapy, Trauma-Informed Yoga (children and adults) and social work focused psychological strategies. We support children, adults and families.
Our process is collaborative and we work with you to establish goals and approaches that are specific to your individual needs. We are here to listen, support, and utilise our skills and knowledge to assist you to achieve your goals. In this sense, empowerment and self-determination are key values of the client-centred work we do!
